During the coronavirus pandemic, Jordan's Principle continues to help First Nations children living in Canada access the products, services and supports they need. Alanis Obomsawin tells the story of the infamous case that gave rise to “Jordan’s Principle,” which states that Indigenous children should have equal access to public services. In a film drawing from archival footage and numerous interviews, the filmmaker immortalizes Jordan River Anderson’s short life and the legal struggle that led, with great difficulty, to a policy addressing the most fundamental of human rights.
