As part of the Présence Autochtone Festival, Flora Aurima Devatine is a pioneering Tahitian poet, speaker, and educator, as well as a founding member of the Tahitian Academy. Her lifelong commitment to preserving the Polynesian language, oral traditions, and cultural identity has inspired generations across Oceania and beyond. An introductory presentation will be given by Estelle Castro-Koshy, a renowned researcher and translator specializing in the Indigenous literatures and cultures of Australia, French Polynesia, and Oceania.
